Montreal Impact News Release

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced Tuesday the signing of a new two-year agreement with the radio station THE TEAM 990. For a third consecutive year, soccer fans will be able to follow the Impact's activities live on Montreal AM radio.

THE TEAM 990 will broadcast in 2010 all 15 regular season home games, the two Nutrilite Canadian Championship games at Saputo Stadium, as well as the international friendly match against Antigua Barracuda FC, slated for September 4 in Montreal.

All playoff matches, including those on the road, will also be presented live (if the Impact qualifies). Each show will be preceded and followed by pre-game and post-game shows.

"We are thrilled to have sealed a new deal with this partner," declared Impact Executive Vice President Richard Legendre. "Our radio partners enable fans to follow the Impact yearlong and have without any doubt contributed to enhance our club's visibility during the last two seasons."

"We are excited to announce that we have extended our partnership agreement with the Montreal Impact for two more years," said THE TEAM 990 General Manager Wayne Bews. "We are very proud to renew this opportunity to offer Montrealers play-by-play coverage of the Impact and look forward to yet another successful run on the pitch and on THE TEAM 990."

The voices on THE TEAM 990 will be those of Brian Wilde (play-by-play) and Noel Butler (colour). This year, the station will broadcast again the weekly soccer-themed show Oranges @ Halftime, hosted by Noel Butler.

A deal for the French radiobroadcast of Impact games should be signed soon with the Corus Québec group. Details will be announced in the next few days.

The Impact will be playing its next exhibition game, Wednesday at 4 pm against the Charleston Battery (USL D2).

2010 season tickets are still available, as well as mini-season ticket packages of five games (starting at 50$) or 10 games (starting at 100$), at 514-328-3668 or montrealimpact.com.
