Rush Signs Stucker for Playoff Game

August 3, 2002 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Chicago Rush News Release

August 3, 2002 – In its continuing search for a healthy kicker, the Chicago Rush today announced it has signed former All-Arena kicker Kenny Stucker to a contract for the rest of the 2002 playoffs.

Stucker (5-10, 185, Ball State) retired from the Arena Football League in 1999 after spending his entire six-year career (1994-99) with the Milwaukee Mustangs. He was voted the league's Kicker of the Year after the 1998 season, and was named to the first team All-Arena squad in both 1996 and 1998.

Stucker played 80 games for the Mustangs during his career, converting 91 percent (387-426) of his PAT attempts and 46 percent (118-254) of his field goal attempts. His 742 career points rank him third in AFL history. He will be eligible to kick in Monday's quarterfinal game against Dallas if Rush kicker David Cool is still unable to kick due to an ankle injury sustained earlier this season.

Kickoff for the Rush-Desperados game at Allstate Arena is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Fans wishing to purchase tickets to the game may order by calling Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212 or by visiting the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.

Fans interested in purchasing group tickets may contact the Rush ticket office at (877) Rush-Tix (787-4849), or visit www.chicagorush.com.
