(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers, of the Major Indoor Soccer League, today announced 42 year old goalkeeper, and Rochester native Marc Sotile will start in tonight's game on the road in Pennsylvania at 7pm. Sotile is coming off his first win as a professional soccer player earning a victory against Syracuse last weekend, which included a fourth quarter shutout.

Sotile got the call after both goalkeepers on the Lancers roster experienced injuries. At the time, Sotile was only used as a practice player, making it to nearly every practice since the team's inception in 2011. He balanced practice times with his full-time job, being a mechanic at his local auto repair shop, which he owns. With the other keepers still injured, Sotile is now the starter, playing with teammates and opponents from around the world that have top level soccer experience.

"As probably the oldest rookie in pro soccer, he's a great inspiration," said Rich Randall, Lancers Vice President. "Marc is living proof that you can still achieve your dreams no matter what age you are."
