Game Length Analysis: Beating the Clock
Excluding games with overtime or weather delays, the average total MLL game length (from opening faceoff to final whistle, including breaks in play, timeouts, and commercial breaks) has decreased by 17 minutes and 29 seconds from the 2018 season.
On average, an additional goal scored per game, relates to an average of a 45-second increase in game length. (Down from 2018, when an additional goal scored per game related to a 58-second increase in game length).
Â 2-Point Goal Analysis: 2-Point Goals at a Low
Least 2-Point Goals per Game average of any MLL season (0.77 per game in 2019)26.7% decline in 2PT Goals per game from 2018.
However, 2018 was an unusually high year for 2PT goals, the 4th most in MLL history.
In each of the last 2 seasons, the top 10 regular-season point scorers have combined for only one 2PT goal scored.
On average from 2007-2017, about 48% of the top 10 points leaders of each season scored at least one 2pt goal that season, all top point scorers combining for an average of 16.6 total 2PT goals per season, over this 10-year period.
2019 Championship: Chesapeake vs. Denver
Chesapeake went 4-1 against Denver this season, including their championship win.

Atlanta led the league in goals per game with an average of 14.3 goals, scoring 22.5% more goals than their previous season. This is the highest average goals per game in Atlanta's history as a team, since entering the MLL in 2016.

This season, the Home Team Winning Percentage was 41.7%. This is the lowest since 2011. All seasons since have had the home team winning over 50% of the season's games.
