
2018 Isobel Cup Champion Metropolitan Riveters Host Home Opener Saturday at Prudential Center

The defending Isobel Cup champions, the Metropolitan Riveters, will take on the Minnesota Whitecaps in their home opener at Prudential Center on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. The game will feature the return of Olympic gold medalist Amanda Kessel, the home debut of former Devils defenseman Randy Velischek as Riveters head coach, and the unveiling of the team's 2017-18 Isobel Cup Championship banner.
All fans in attendance at the home opener will receive a voucher for two tickets to a select 2018-19 regular season New Jersey Devils home game. In addition, the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a mini-replica Isobel Cup banner, commemorating the team's championship.
Tickets for Saturday's home opener at Prudential Center are available now at NWHL.zone/tickets.
The Riveters and Whitecaps will play the second game of their back-to-back series at RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. Ticket holders will be able to have the exclusive opportunity to have their photos taken with the Isobel Cup banner, which will remain on display inside the Hockey House.
Besides Kessel, the Riveters are led by NWHL MVP Alexa Gruschow, MVP finalist Madison Packer, and All-Stars Katie Fitzgerald, Rebecca Russo, Michelle Picard, Kelsey Koelzer, Courtney Burke and Jenny Ryan.
