2009 Meet the Yankees Event

Moosic, PA - Fans will have their first opportunity to "Meet the Yankees" when the entire team will be on hand to mix and mingle at private pre-season event sponsored by the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees and Northeastern Baseball, Inc. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at PNC Field in Moosic, Pennsylvania.
Starting at 3:45 p.m., fans attending the 2009 Meet the Yankees event will have an opportunity to watch the team go through their final pre-season workout, including batting practice, in preparation to defend the 2008 Governors' Cup, with the season opener April 9th at Lehigh Valley.
The event will move to the PNC Field Restaurant at 5:00 p.m. for a cocktail reception. The entire 2009 Yankees team, including players and field staff, will join the festivities beginning at 5:30 p.m. and will be available to greet fans and sign autographs. All fans in attendance will receive a special 2009 Meet the Yankees baseball and t-shirt as well as a commemorative program for their favorite players to sign.
"2009 Meet the Yankees will be the kick off for another great season of baseball at PNC Field," said Yankees President Kristen Rose. "Fans will get a chance to talk baseball and get autographs from the 2009 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees players and field staff, as well as an exclusive look as the team goes through its final practice for the upcoming season."
Tickets are priced at $60.00 per person, which includes an exclusive look at batting practice as well as your chance to mix and mingle with the 2009 Yankees. Proceeds from the event will go to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees Charity called "Kids Night Out". The program provides tickets for children who may not have the opportunity to attend a game.
