
2003 Entry Draft Completed

The Vancouver Ravens selected forward Mark Miyashita with the first overall selection in the Entry Draft. The former Canisius College standout has excelled at all levels of lacrosse, including Canadian Junior/Senior (Burnaby and Maple Ridge, British Columbia) and NCAA collegiate lacrosse at Canisius.
Miyashita, who put up impressive numbers last season for Canisius (23G, 26A) stands as the school's all-time loose ball leader (329). In addition he ranks 11th all-time in goals scored with 71, while finishing sixth in both career assists (74) and in career points (145). Last season as team captain Miyashita helped lead the Griffs to their first-ever Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) playoff appearance.
As a member of the Burnaby Lakers (Jr. A) Miyashita has won a Minto Cup Championship while playing Senior ball for Maple Ridge in British Columbia this past summer following his first overall selection in the Western Lacrosse Association's (WLA) Entry Draft.
The Calgary Roughnecks selected defenseman Taylor Wray as the second overall pick in the 2003 Entry Draft.
Wray, a graduate of Duke University (1G, 0A) captained the Blue Devils squad his final season where he earned a spot on the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) honor roll. In addition the 6'2 Edmonton, Alberta native helped lead his squad to a top 25 national ranking and an appearance in the ACC Title game all in this past season.
A former second overall selection the Western Lacrosse Association's (WLA) Entry Draft behind former teammate Mark Miyashita, Wray has also won a pair of Minto Cup Championships.
The Entry Draft consisted of ten rounds. A total of 83 players were selected.
