Aces Knock off Gladiators 2-1

The Alaska Aces took the early lead capitalizing on a penalty shot opportunity 3:19 into the first period. Justin Breton was tripped by Joe Stejskal on a breakaway to give the Aces their first penalty shot of the season. Gladiator's goaltender, Matt Ginn, initially saved the shot by the Massachusetts native but the puck continued to slide underneath Ginn and across the goal-line which gave the Aces the 1-0 lead.
