Goldstein Shines as Mallards Drop Series Finale to Loggers

Madison, Wis. - Field manager Donnie Scott and the Madison Mallards (13-8, 33-23) were defeated by the La Crosse Loggers (14-9, 33-24) by a final score of 16-6 in Friday's series finale at the Duck Pond. The Loggers out-hit the Mallards 18-12 and scored in all but one inning of the lopsided contest, an offensive outburst that allowed for La Crosse to split their key two-game set at Warner Park.
