Tommy Thompson Undergoes Surgery to Repair Torn Labrum and Rotator Cuff

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Earthquakes defender Tommy Thompson underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum and partially torn rotator cuff on Wednesday. The surgery was performed by Dr. Richard Gayle at Sutter Health. The injury was sustained during the team's first match of the 2021 season and Thompson is expected to return to the training field in three months.
