Champions Lose Series Opener with Miners

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Champions couldn't take advantage of three shutout innings from their bullpen and fell to the Sussex County Miners 5-3. Two of Ottawa's runs came via the long ball, with 1B Vinny Guglietti clubbing his second home run of the season in the sixth inning. CF Chase Harris also came around to score on the homer.
