FRISCO, TX- Despite a two-run rally in the ninth inning, the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, dropped a 7-6 decision in 11 innings to the Corpus Christi Hooks in the opener of a four-game series Thursday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark.

Corpus Christi cleanup hitter J.D. Davis hit a solo home run off of Riders reliever Nick Gardewine in the 11th, giving the Hooks the lead for good.
