Matt Fiedler Gets Drafted in 9th Round by the St. Louis Cardinals

(Rochester, Minn) - Former Rochester Honker Matt Fiedler was drafted in the ninth round (286 overall) by the St. Louis Cardinals today in the MLB First-Year Player Draft. Fiedler, a native of Eagan, Minn., hit .366 in his junior season with the University of Minnesota. The Gopher product totaled 47 runs, 12 doubles, eight home runs, and stole 14 bases in 58 games.
