Former Pelican Ryan Strausborger Earns Call to Big Leagues

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AUGUST 4, 2015) -- On Tuesday, the Texas Rangers purchased the contract of former Pelican and 2015 Triple-A Round Rock Express outfielder, Ryan Strausborger. Strausborger played with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, during the 2011 season as a Rangers farmhand.
