(Central Islip, N.Y.) - The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the Somerset Patriots 4-1 on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game series at Bethpage Ballpark. Somerset struck first in the third inning on a two-run double to left-center field by Scott Kelly off of Ducks starter Bobby Blevins.
