Hughson Named Motorburger Player of the Week

A strong Spitfires debut has earned Garret Hughson our Motorburger Player of the Week nod. The 20-year-old goaltender - acquired from the Niagara IceDogs (via the WHL's Spokane Chiefs) back on October 21st - was outstanding in his first two Ontario Hockey League starts last week - shutting out the Flint Firebirds in a 3-0 win on Thursday, before holding the Guelph Storm to a single goal in a 5-1 win Saturday.
