Bemidji, MN- The Minnesota Axemen have signed Defensive Back Melvin Taveras. Taveras (SDSU, 5'11, 185 lbs.) signs with the Axemen after participating in mini-camp with the Minnesota Vikings this past June. Taveras played two seasons at South Dakota State University, where he was fourth in tackles his senior season along with leading the team with three interceptions.
