SteepleCat Season Ends with Loss to Mystic

August 2, 2017 - The North Adams SteepleCats ended the 2017 season with a loss to the Mystic Schooners, 7-1, at Fitch High School. The Schooners used nine pitchers, one in each inning, to stymie the SteepleCat hitters. North Adams finishes the 2017 NECBL season with a 18-26 record, while the Schooners will play Thursday in the NECBL Playoffs against the Plymouth Pilgrims. Clutch Double Drops SteepleCats in North Adams

July 30, 2017 - The North Adams SteepleCats began All-Star Weekend with a losing effort on Saturday night, falling 7-5 to the Newport Gulls at Joe Wolfe Field. Newport scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take their first and only lead of the night. Newport jumped out to an early lead with a run in the top of the first. July 23, 2017 - The North Adams SteepleCats continued their hot hitting on Saturday night, rolling to a 16-3 victory over the Danbury Westerners at Rogers Park. The 'Cats were in double digits in hits for the third night in a row, and set a season-high in runs scored. North Adams' offense began in a modest fashion in the top of the second inning with a single run. July 20, 2017 - The North Adams SteepleCats got just enough offense at Goodall Park on Tuesday night, holding on for a 2-1 victory over the Sanford Mainers. The victory clinched the season series for the SteepleCats over the Mainers. Alex Pantuso (Slippery Rock) was brilliant for North Adams in his seven and a third innings on the mound.
