Other teams?

Post by PIONEERSFAN101 » Thu Jul 27, 2006 3:10 am

My guesses:

Fayetteville
Richmond
Chattahoochee Valley perhaps?
Lakeland perhaps?

And what might we expect in the way of brand new franchises?

Eh. I hope we don't join this league. It would make for easier travel, but I want to be in a national league. I want to say that my team is champion of a nationwide league. So, I'm still all for the PIFL.

Fayetteville could be waiting until after the Indoor Bowl for their announcement. Richmond will probably join. Not sure about the other teams.

What? Asheville isn't on the list?

LOL.

The WIFL would be wise to say "you know what? Let's wait and see what happens with Asheville's arena." The last thing any league needs to do right now is mess with Asheville.

Don't make me speak against another team coming here.

You know IF there's a game with Fayetteville they are going to be dogged with questions about the WIFL.

Never make anyone a priority that makes you an option.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Richmond have arena issues?

I think the arena confirmed that there were no problems after a rumor about them getting kicked out had started.

They DID have issues with exchanging game tapes with Raleigh. Now that Raleigh is in the new WIFL, I'm not so certain Richmond would want to renew that kind of situation or rivalry again. But we'll see.

Don't look for Florence to be apart of the new league. Since the split with the Shannon's and Mr. Young, I would expect to see Florence stay in the AIFL. Too bad for them. Once the new arena is built in Columbia, SC, they will probably be added to the league. Greenville has a great arena in the Bi-Lo center. Could they be on the potential franchise list?

Anyone see Tupelo and Tallahassee jumping ship. I'll probably only go to one or two games if it is AIFL. I want WIFL!
