I'm truly devastated. In ways you can't possibly understand.

How long will it take for the remaining 10 teams to get affiliates? I am guessing all teams will be one to one by the start of 2020 at the latest. Along with the couple mentioned above, Atlanta will be on board as well. There was a couple recent articles in the local paper leaning towards the Hawks purchasing a team soon. I am thinking 23-25 teams by the start of next season (2016-2017).
I feel the league cant truly strive till each team has a one to one affiliation. I think it gets too complicated with teams sharing players. Soon teams can really take some flyers on undrafted college players, and international players. With NBA TV always looking for content and the deal with Google's Youtube this will be the most access of any Minor League organization in the US.
One more thought, will the D-League do to Mexico for one or more of its teams?

It's all but guaranteed that Brooklyn & New Orleans will have teams for 2016-17. That makes 22. Atlanta's team is likely to play in Gwinnett, but nothing's surfaced for a while. The Jacksonville Sharks want to join the D-League, they just need a NBA team attached to them. Maybe Orlando attaches themselves to Jacksonville & Erie then gets attached to Minnesota or Chicago??

How about The Clippers putting a team in San Diego? Now that the Gulls are back and the top team for the Ducks, it would make sense to have a D-League team in San Diego.

The 10 Teams without a team and possible matches.
Atlanta Hawks-Gwinnett or Birmingham
Brooklyn Nets-Somewhere in NY/NJ
Chicago Bulls
Denver Nuggets
Los Angeles Clippers
Milwaukee Bucks-Green Bay?
Minnesota Timberwolves
New Orleans Pelicans-Biloxi or Birmingham
Portland Trail Blazers
Washington Wizards
I think there could be some changes that make since like Erie to Washington and Jacksonville to Orlando. Something like that.

We could bring back the San Diego Clippers. Would Kareem be available to coach?

The Brooklyn Nets' team will likely play their first season at the Barclays Center, then move to Nassau Coliseum once the renovations are done. The Wizards' D-League team will play in their new practice facility once it's completed in 2018. I think Portland's team should play in either Tacoma or Spokane. As I said before, Orlando should bring in the Jacksonville Sharks as their team & the Miami Heat should also have their team closer to them somewhere in South Florida. Erie then goes to the Chicago Bulls & Sioux Falls goes to Minnesota. Denver's team should be in Ft. Collins, CO & Milwaukee's team in either Green Bay or Rockford. New Orleans' team might be located within Louisiana somewhere. I don't think Mobile or Birmingham are good choices.
