IBL 2009 Schedule

Post by events » Wed Feb 18, 2009 2:32 pm

Maybe somebody could assist me.I was advised the 2009 league schedule would be out in October 2008.Then it was January 20,2009.Can't say that I have seen it posted anywhere.Should we be concerned? As it is just a little over 2 months to the season starting.

An IBL schedule by October 2008 was unlikely because teams had until January 2009 to commit to the season. We're only in February. I don't think the lack of a schedule at this point is cause for concern.

2009 Schedule
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Vancouver British Columbia team will play in the 2009 season, which starts on Friday April 25th, 2009. The IBL 2009 season runs through July 2nd, 2009. IBL playoffs are held in two regions starting on July 2nd with the regional final on July 4th at Noon. One of the regions is the East (Elkhart Indiana) and the other region is the west (Monroe Washington slightly northeast of Seattle). The 2009 schedule for the Vancouver BC Titans will be posted in early October 2008.

This is where I got the info regarding the October 2008 release of the schedule.Obviously it was a bit premature!
It is from the Titans website area on the league website.

That should be quite a shock to Elkhart! I'm guessing that part of the website hasn't been updated yet.

It should be interesting to see if the midwest even happens this year. This is a league that prides itself on playing all its games. This is an exposure league, so I've never been a fan of what they charge for a league fee compared to what they deliver as a league. Other than that the flight adds to that expense. I see the IBL surviving, but only as a Northwest league.

The five good teams need to jump the IBL and just play in there own league

Post by homeboypla » Wed Feb 25, 2009 1:29 am

I hate the IBL fake teams come up all the time. High Flyer's last year and the ALL Stars is just a way to get teams easy wins for no apparent reason. With less then a month away the 2009 Schedule is not even listed on the site.

The League owner makes a logo and a bunch of fake teams and BANG we play all of our games in this LEAGUE. I think this year the IBL will not be able to say that and teams will jump this sinking ship 10 real teams 2 fake teams.

O and I have gotten some dumb email about hiring the owners of the Seattle team and Portland team to the IBL.. Sound like home cooking lets see how many games each of the league workers team win that should not.

Im new to following the IBL,and will be concentrating on the Vancouver Titans mostly.
However,it leaves me puzzled when we are "29" days away from the league starting and there doesnt seem to be a league schedule.I guess I expected more from the League than that.
