Green Bay is a major market with an af2 team and seem to be doing pretty well. The Blizzard have averaged well over 6,000 fans a game this season. Houston is a whole other story. On a good night, the Texas Copperheads are lucky if they can get 1,000 fans in the building.
Green Bay isn't really a major market, though it hosts an NFL team. The city is only around 100k.
You haven't accomplished anything. Disputing is one thing. Actually proving it is another.
I don't have anything to "prove". You voiced your opinion and I disputed it based on my first hand knowledge of the situation. I'm not out to prove anything, I just didn't want to leave a very broad stroked and false opinion un-addressed. That was the only thing I wanted to accomplish, and I did as much.
Have a nice day. Not sure what brought this about. I've always been respectful of you and your team....and I'm not going to stop. The high road is a lonely place, but I'll stay there. I'm not about to get caught up in the BS that goes on on these sites.
Minneapolis has already had two arena teams:
1996 AFL - Minnesota Fighting Pike (Mike Vanderjact kicked for them)
1998 PIFL - Minnesota Monsters (team folded midway through season)
The Fighting Pike had better attendance then most teams that have had second chances, the AFL is very different then it was in 1996.
The Monsters died because Dick Seuss was an idiot had should have never granted a franchise to those guys (sorry, their names escape me). That league was horribly managed.
Anyway its been 10 years since then, its time we get another shot, I feel our only chance is if someone gets the AF2, simply because the AFL would be a bad investment.

Heard any rumors or rumblings?
Minneapolis will likely get an af2 team in 2009 or 2010
Just wondered if you heard anything of substance or is this just a theory? Minnesotans support the Swarm of the NLL, so I have no reason to doubt they would support AFL or af2. But just wondered.
Rumor is that the Vallozios will move the Firecats to Minneapolis and change the name, and someone would start up the new Florida Firecats, this would likely happen in 2010, because the Vallozios lease with Germain Arena expires after the 2009 season
