They'd better win
I can see the headlines now if they lose:
"Chops get broiled"
"Chops get grilled"
If it's a really bad loss:
"Chops get ground into sausage"
If they lose two in a row:
"Chops lose two and get barbequed"
I suppose it could have been worse -- Chops have a better ring than say Iowa Corn Cobbs (or Corn Flakes). If they were from Cedar Rapids (where there is a big Quaker Oats plant) they could be the Iowa Capt'n Crunches.

As a former sports writer and editor at 3 different mid-sized newspapers, I can assure you that these headlines would never make it to press. They would be considered silly by readers. The only place where these would appear is on other team's press releases. I think most AHL PR offices are still above this. Sorry, to chop your creativity down.
