How has the attendance been at Schaumburg so far? I mean actual people showing up. Weather has definitely been no help this year. I haven't noticed as much promotion of the team so far. Last year they were doing radio sponsorships on WSCR and other high profile (and high cost) things. I suspect they...

Lunkhead works for???

And where do you get YOUR information from, Mr. Lunkhead. Do you work for Cummings, or maybe, related to him? I'm thinking the latter.

And glad to see you back from your OSC retirement. Much more entertaining your indignant babble.

"An agreement with the Bisbee School District which operates Warren Ballpark, will allow the AWBL to use the field on Monday through Thursday from June until early August. The team will be aptly named the snakelike Bisbee Copperheads. A semipro team uses the ballpark on Friday and Saturday nigh...

Awbl doa

As the signs point to this league being DOA. Mid April now, and the website is devoid of any updates or schedule. Michael Cummings has resigned as CEO from the company that was behind this, Embark Holdings (formerly Godfather Media and several other names) and seems to have disappeared. The new CEO ...

Still waiting to hear about your great untapped eastern markets. Saint's funding fell through. A lot of money for sure-does that mean it doesn't count in the discussion? Some of your examples of teams getting funding for parks are a bit old. Waldorf-2008, Grand Prairie-2008, Normal-2010. In Ramapo, ...
There are actually several good markets in the east. But we're not here to discuss the AtL. Ballparks are still getting funded. California just has that RDA thing that came down not too long ago.
If these markets are so good, why are they still available?...

Actually, I misread pilots post. The "dodgy" league I was referring to was the NAL not the Atlantic. That being said, I think expansion for them in California won't work. How are they going to get public funding for a ballpark in this economic environment? Private money?-fugetaboutit. Ever...

Building new stadiums in California for dodgy indy teams? I don't think so. If this NAL North, or whatever it is now, even lasts through the summer, it will be a minor miracle. You optimistic folks do know that none of this makes any economic sense, right? I suppose the scam this time is to try to s...

The NAL North should just go dark permanently. Having a franchise in and rights to territories in the NAL North would seem to be worthless now-not that they were ever of much value. It's below the Pecos league at this point-not a good place to be. If owners wish to try indy ball again on the west co...
Phan Websites don't build teams. So I would not let websites that are not up to date weigh your decision. .
If a team can't even keep it's website up to date, that means there is dysfunctional management-at the very least. And if telling it like it...
