BlueSox Kevan Smith Promoted to Major Leagues

April 24, 2016 - Kevan Smith became the first BlueSox player to reach the Major Leagues on Sunday when he was called up by the Chicago White Sox. A native of Cranberry Township and Seneca Valley high school graduate, Smith was a catcher, first baseman, and DH for the BlueSox in 201 0. Smith led Butler in numerous offensive categories, including a .347 batting average, 35 runs scored, 59 hits and ten doubles. He tied for tied for the lead with 30 RBIs. BlueSox to Honor City History with Throwback Sundays

April 9, 2016 - The BlueSox will pay tribute to the City of Butler's long baseball tradition this summer with a series of Throwback Sunday games that will feature a number of unique festivities. Chief among them will be new uniforms modeled after those worn in the 1 930s and 1 940s. New Mound at the KAP Ready for New Season

April 4, 2016 - If you notice fewer hits at Kelly Automotive Park this summer, it might have something to do with pitchers throwing from a brand new mound, which was installed a few weeks ago. BlueSox co-owner and Park director Larry Sassone donated the new $1 2,000 fiberglass mound. The old mound had been in place since 201 3, the year after the dirt area around home plate was replaced with artificial turf. BlueSox Add Fireworks Night, Tickets on Sale Now

April 3, 2016 - The Butler BlueSox will add a seventh post-game fireworks show for the 201 6 summer, the team announced this week. Tickets for the fireworks nights are now available for purchase through ButlerBlueSox.net or email to Tickets@ButlerBlueSox.net. Seats start at $7 for general admission, $8 for field level, and $9 for reserved seating.
