Local 'Idol'-Singer Will Perform on Fourth of July

June 13, 2016 - Rising teen-star, singer-songwriter Isaac Cole will play the national anthem and perform a set after the BlueSox' Monday, July 4 game as a prelude to the City of Butler's Independence Day Fireworks Show. Cole has performed all over the country and recently finished in the Top 51 contestants on the final season of American Idol. Three Butler-Native BlueSox Selected in MLB Draft

June 13, 2016 - For the seventh straight year at least one former Butler BlueSox player, was selected in the MLB first-year player draft, but for the first time some hometown players that wore a BlueSox uniform had their names called. Butler High School graduates Collin McKee and Mick Fennell were both selected Saturday. McKee went to Houston Astros in the 1 8th round and Fennell was taken by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 22nd round. June 6, 2016 - Throughout the season, fans and sponsors from all over Butler support the BlueSox. Now, the BlueSox Boosters are giving back to the community with their first Knock Out Hunger Food Drive. The Boosters are asking fans to bring non-perishable food items to the park on Friday, June 1 7. BlueSox Kevan Smith Promoted to Major Leagues

April 24, 2016 - Kevan Smith became the first BlueSox player to reach the Major Leagues on Sunday when he was called up by the Chicago White Sox. A native of Cranberry Township and Seneca Valley high school graduate, Smith was a catcher, first baseman, and DH for the BlueSox in 201 0. Smith led Butler in numerous offensive categories, including a .347 batting average, 35 runs scored, 59 hits and ten doubles. He tied for tied for the lead with 30 RBIs.
