July 3, 2012 - The Roughnecks will travel to Amarillo this Saturday to keep their playoff hopes alive. West Texas wins and they are in, if not a lot of things could happen including dropping to dead last. The Lone Star Football League's inaugural season has been a very close competition all season long and this week is no different. Amarillo and Laredo are the only two teams that have clinched a spot, and those teams won't know what spot that is until after this weekends' games. June 19, 2012 - MIDESSA, TX. : The Roughnecks pulled off their third win in a row Saturday Night June 16th, in Rio Grande Valley. The offense scored 21 points in a minute fifty seconds to take the lead 62 -55 and were able to hang on for the victory 62-61 this puts West Texas at a 2-1 record against the Magic who is currently tied with Amarillo for first place.
