Windy City Bulls Fall 95-83 to Fort Wayne Mad Ants

Fort Wayne, IN- The Windy City Bulls (5-4), presented by BMO Harris Bank, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, fell 95-83 to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants Saturday evening at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The loss snapped a four game winning streak for the Bulls while the Mad Ants improved to 7-1 on the season.

The Bulls had four players reach double-digit scoring, led by guard Aaron Thomas who scored a game high 19 point while Spencer Dinwiddie added 14 points and seven assists.

Forward Alfonzo McKinnie came off of the bench to provide a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Forward J.J. Avila added 13 points and eight rebounds.

Fort Wayne was led by Alex Poythress who finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Travis Leslie added 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Mad Ants.

Windy City held a one-point lead after the first period and extended the lead to double figures, 44-34, at the 6:04 mark in the second quarter before the Mad Ants came storming back to regain the lead at the half, 50-47, capped by a three-pointer by Travis Leslie with just seconds remaining in the period. Fort Wayne went a perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line in the first half, including a 10-for-10 effort by Poythress.

Fort Wayne pulled away from Windy City in the third quarter, outscoring the Bulls by 10 in the frame and the Bulls never led in the second half.

The Bulls, who were playing the second night of a back-to-back, entered the game coming off of a thrilling 119-118 win at Grand Rapids Friday evening.
