
Tryout Camps Set for March

The Northern League of Professional Baseball will hold two open tryout camps in March for released minor league players and outstanding former college players.
The first camp will be Monday, March 3, in Chandler, Ariz., at SRC Baseball Field. The site address is 4500 South Basha Road, Chandler, AZ, 85248. The camp will run from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and a select number of participants will be invited back for a second look on March 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information on the Arizona camp or to register, contact Mike Marshall at NLdirector@aol.com.
The second camp will be Monday, March 10 in Tampa, Fla., from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and some players will be invited back Tuesday, March 11, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp is located at the University of South Florida, 4202 East Fowler Ave., in Tampa. For more information or to pre-register, contact Florida camp coordinator Nick Belmonte at nmbelmonte@worldnet.att.net.
The camps are free of charge. Players should wear athletic attire and bring a glove.
Prior college or professional experience is mandatory. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at both camps.
