PORTLAND, ME - NOV. 20, 2016 - The Maine Red Claws (4-1) continued their strong start to the season on Sunday afternoon, handing the Grand Rapids Drive (2-1) their first loss of the season, winning 116-93 at home.

It was Maine's third win of the season that came by at least a 15-point margin.

Abdel Nader was dominant, scoring 33 points with nine rebounds and making all 11 of his free throw attempts. Damion Lee added 24 points, five rebounds and seven assists and Jalen Jones also stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists.

For Grand Rapids, Kevin Murphy scored 21 points off the bench and Jordan Crawford, Nikola Jovanovic and Zeke Upshaw each had 14.

The Drive had a seven-point lead at the end of the first quarter, but it was all Maine from there. They poured in 39 second-quarter points and outscored Grand Rapids 54-36 in the second half.

The Red Claws shot 50 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the three-point line, and out-rebounded the Drive 53-44.

Grand Rapids' leading scorers struggled to get much going from the field, with Jovanovic and Crawford, who both came in averaging over 25 points per game, combining to shoot 10-of-33. The Drive as a team were held to 36 percent from the field and connected on only nine of 30 three-point attempts.

Maine stays at home for a Nov. 22 tilt with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, while the Drive head home as well, with their next game coming on Nov. 23 against the Iowa Energy.
