SPOKANE, Washington (August 17, 2015) - The Empire signed rookie offensive lineman Darren Pinnock to their 2017 IFL roster.

Pinnock (OL, 6-5, 345, Morgan State) joins the Empire for his rookie year as a member of the IFL. At the conclusion of his senior season as a Bear, Darren was one of nine players from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) to be named to the 2014 SBN Sports Black College All-American Team by the American Urban Radio Networks. He was also named the 2014 MEAC Lineman of the Year as he helped the Bears to their first winning season since 2009 and the second-best rushing attack (208.5) in the conference. During his junior season, he played and started every game at right guard. Darren played his prep career at Miami-Palmetto High School in Miami, Florida.

"Darren is a skilled offensive lineman with great footwork and quickness," said Empire Head Coach Adam Shackleford. "He has the athletic ability to play multiple positions on the offensive line. We're looking forward to seeing him compete in training camp."
