
Rockers Set Tryout

Austin Rockers News Release
The Austin Rockers Indoor Professional Football Team is having try outs Saturday February 15th, 2003, from 12:00 noon until 3:00pm at Reagan High School, located on 290 at Cameron Road. More than 200 players from all over the country are expected to attend. Tryouts will consist of speed drills, agility drills, and weight lifting.
The Austin Rockers are a part of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL) established in 1998, there are currently 25 teams in existence. Owners include NFL Hall of Fame running back Tony Dorsett and Green Bay Packers Quarterback Brett Favre.
The Rockers are gearing up to start their first home game on April 19th at the newly refurbished and air conditioned Texas Heritage and Exposition Center. The city of Austin will have seven opportunities to see the Rockers in action at home.
