Raptors/Thunder Change Holiday Party Location

December 8, 2008 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) - Rock River Raptors News Release

ROCKFORD* – The Rockford Thunder and the Rock River Raptors announced today that its annual holiday party has moved to the team’s new offices at 202 w. State Street, Suite 100 and will be more of an open house format. The open house will still run from 4-7 p.m. as originally planned.

“We apologize to our fans for the late notice in the change of venue for the holiday party,” announced Thunder GM Aaron M. Moore. “We just felt at this point in time it was in the best interest of all parties to move the event to a place that was better equipped for the day.”

Coaches, players and staff will be on hand to sign autographs and answer any questions that fans may have. Santa Claus will also attend the party for the kids.

Two lucky fans will also receive two season tickets to either the Raptors or Thunder. The winner of the tickets must come in as the most colorful fan for either team. Also, each fan that attends the party will receive a voucher good for two free tickets to any Raptors or Thunder game during the regular season.

“Because of this inconvenience, we wanted to give our fans something in return, and this is a great way to thank our fans,” said

Moore . “We appreciate our fans and we’re hopeful to see them all during many games this season.”

All team merchandise will be available for retail at 10% off. And both teams plan on selling new merchandise for the party, including eight new t-shirt designs for the Raptors. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase their season tickets for the upcoming 2009 year.

There is no cost to attend the holiday party, but fans are asked to bring one non-perishable food item for each person attending. The food will then be donated to the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

The teams will provide some food and drink for fans.

For additional information on the holiday party please call the Lowe Entertainment offices at (815) 965-7000.
