Rage Move to Owensboro
The Rage, formerly based in Evansville, IN, will continue to their 2nd season in the CIFL this coming February and are proud to announce they will do so in Owensboro, KY. Team owner Melissa Logsdon is enthusiastic about the move and states, "I have given a lot of thought to moving the team to Owensboro. This is my hometown and I want to share with the community the experiences I have had a pleasure of being involved in. With the strides the city has taken to better our town
, and after the death of my fiancé (Eddie Cronin who was also General Manager of Rage), Owensboro began to feel more fitting of a place for the team to also call home." They will continue to be lead under the direction of Head Coach Mike Goodpaster who guided the Rage to a 7-3 record in Evansville, IN last season. Coach Mike Goodpaster states, "I'm very excited about the move to Owensboro. I think we are in a fantastic setting here. The community has been very receptive and this is a great football town. My goal as the head football coach is to bring in a team of 25 players the community can be proud of and want to support. We will have a large presence in the community and look to make a positive impact everywhere that we can. Our goal as a team is to bring a professional football championship to Owensboro, Kentucky!" Kory White, former Offensive Line Coach in the 2012 season, has accepted the position of General Manager. He is also thrilled about the opportunity to play in Owensboro and states ""I want to thank the fans in Evansville for their support from last season. I hope to have their continued support this upcoming season. The Owensboro Rage is going to be a championship caliber team everyone in the tri-state area and Western Kentucky can be proud of."
