LAST WEEK:

The Power won their ninth-straight contest by knocking off the Jacksonville Sharks for the first time in franchise history. The Power defense forced two RJ Archer interceptions and recorded their league-leading fifth safety to walk away with a 64-48 victory on the road. Tommy Grady dissected the Jacksonville defense throwing multiple touchdowns to Shaun Kauleinamoku, Prechae Rodriguez and Hank Edwards, who led the receiving corps with four scores.

The VooDoo played one of their most competitive games in 2014 last week against the Portland Thunder but lost 62-56. An Adam Kennedy rushing touchdown gave New Orleans the lead with just over two minutes to play, but Jamar Howard returned the ensuing onside kick attempt for a touchdown, which gave Portland the lead they needed to hang on to win.

POWER OFFENSE TO WATCH:

The Power earned two weekly awards after their win over Jacksonville in Week 16. Power QB Tommy Grady threw for 353 yards in the win and tied a franchise record for passing touchdowns with nine. Grady enters Monday's contest against New Orleans two passing touchdowns behind Tony Graziani for tenth all time in Arena Football League History.

Prechae Rodriguez made an amazing catch at the end of the first half in Jacksonville which earned him the Cutters Catch of the Week. He elevated over a defender and flew over the boards maintaining possession as he fell to the ground. Rodriguez finished with 10 receptions for 165 yards and three scores.

VOODOO OFFENSE TO WATCH:

The Power will see a new quarterback under center for New Orleans as Adam Kennedy moves into his fourth week as the VooDoo's starting signal caller. Kennedy has completed 52.1 percent of his passes for 542 yards and eight touchdowns. In New Orleans loss to Portland, Kennedy accounted for seven touchdowns.

POWER DEFENSE TO WATCH:

Power defensive linemen Jake Killeen and Curtis Young have challenged each other all season long to see who will come out on top with the franchise record for sacks in a single season. Killeen broke the record previously held by former Power DL Dominie Pittman (5.5 sacks) the last time the Power faced New Orleans. Now Killeen has 7.5 and Young is right on his heels after picking up sack No. 6 against Jacksonville.

VOODOO DEFENSE TO WATCH:

VooDoo DB Cameron McGlenn had an interception the last time Pittsburgh and New Orleans squared off. McGlenn is tied for second in the AFL with ten interceptions in 2014. McGlenn also leads the VooDoo this season with 72.5 tackles.
