Lehigh Valley Outlawz News Release
Tryouts on October 1st at 9am
Kicker Chris Reed was heavily recruited by AFL teams, declined offers and is expected to return to the Outlawz for another seaosn.
WR's Billy Parker and Dominique Stewart (U of Mass) have also been solicited by other teams, and have elected to return tho the Outlawz.
RB Steve Cook (Delaware Valley College) is also fielding offers to play in Europe, but has declined to accept any offers yet. We hope to see him Back in Black next year.
QB Chad Schwenk (Rutgers & Lehigh) is expected to return, and should improve upon good numbers with some protection. Look for a much improved OL and DL next season with fresh new talent and others returning to their natural positions.
Meanwhile, the Outlawz are aggressively seeking talent from around the league and rest of the country with recent college recruting, Florida and Texas trips now scheduled.
In 2006, we were fortunate to find experienced players like WR Jafar Williams (U. of Maryland, 2005 Washington Redskins) and RB Chris Downs (U. of Maryland, 2004 Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders and NFL Europe) but the best find was probably KR Mark Barionnette. If all of them return and can stay healthy...look out!!
