Otters Lose Final Game in Brampton, 5-2

Brampton, Ont. - The Erie Otters were unable to overcome a strong first period by the Brampton Battalion, as the Otters lost 5-2 in their final regular season game at the Powerade Centre Sunday afternoon.

The Battalion opened up a 3-0 lead in the first period thanks to a penalty shot goal by Barclay Goodrow and a pair of goals by Nick Paul.

Jimmy McDowell scored the lone goal of the first period for the Otters as his shot from the right point knuckled through traffic for his sixth goal of the season at 12:28. Brandon Robinson scored late in the period to make it 4-1, Battalion after 20 minutes of play.

After a scoreless second period, Hayden Hodgson scored off of a rebound from a Connor Crisp shot for his fourth goal of the season at 12:51 of the third period. Robinson scored his second of the game with 4:44 left to complete the scoring for Brampton.
