
Oklahoma City's Dakari Johnson Named NBA Development League Performer of the Week

NEW YORK- Dakari Johnson of the Oklahoma City Blue today was named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Thursday, Nov.11, through Sunday, Nov. 20.
Johnson (7-0, 255, Kentucky) led Oklahoma City to a 4-1 start, averaging 19.0 points on 59.6 percent shooting (34-of-57) to go with 8.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.0 steals. On Nov. 17, he scored a career-high 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting to go with nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks in a 93-87 win over the Erie BayHawks. He posted two double-doubles with 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 118-95 victory over the Austin Spurs on Nov. 13 followed by 24 points and 10 rebounds in a 106-97 win over the Reno Bighorns on Nov. 19.
Johnson was originally selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second round (48th overall) of the 2015 NBA Draft presented by State Farm. He appeared in all 50 games for the Blue last season, averaging 12.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks on his way to earning NBA D-League All-Rookie Team honors.
Other top performers considered included Austin's Patricio Garino, Los Angeles' Josh Magette, Texas' Manny Harris and Westchester's Damien Inglis and Chasson Randle.
