MISL Releases 2006-07 Schedule

Philadelphia, PA, September 25, 2006 - The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) announced today the 2006-2007 regular-season schedule for the Philadelphia KiXX. The club kicks-off their 11th season of professional indoor soccer versus the California Cougars at the Stockton Arena on Saturday, November 5. The KiXX then return to the City of Brotherly Love to open the home portion of their schedule versus the expansion Detroit Ignition on Saturday, November 11. All patrons entering the gates at the Wachovia Spectrum will receive a complimentary 2006-07 Philadelphia KiXX Magnetic Schedule. Game-time is slated for 7:05 pm ET, with the doors opening at 6:00 pm ET.
The 30-game schedule consists of 15-home and 15-road dates, commencing on November 5 and concluding on Saturday, March 31 versus the Ignition at the Wachovia Spectrum. The team will battle each of the League's five member clubs (Baltimore Blast, California Cougars, Chicago Storm, Detroit Ignition and Milwaukee Wave) six times with an even three-three split of home and road contests.
The majority of the season's home schedule features weekend dates, with 12 of the 15 (80.0%) outings taking place on Saturday evening. One exception is Wednesday, February 7 when the KiXX battle the California Cougars in the club's 12th Annual School Day Game. The innovative program, sponsored in part by Philadelphia Newspapers In-Education, offers school-age youth educational elements combined with the excitement of professional indoor soccer. Philadelphia will also host a pair of Sunday outings on January 14 and March 4 with kick-off slated for 4:05 pm ET.
The 2006-07 home schedule will feature various promotional giveaways including team photos, replica jersey T-shirts, bobbleheads, trucker hats, license plate frames and dance team calendars. The club will also host a variety of theme nights including Boy and Girl Scout Night and Christian Night which includes a post-game concert.
Looking at a month-by-month breakdown, the KiXX begin the season with four contests in November and six in the month of December. The club then brings in the New Year with five outings in January, six contests in February, and nine dates in March to close out the campaign.
Philadelphia KiXX season tickets, 6-PaXX mini-plans, Family 4-PaXX and birthday packages are on sale now by calling the club's ticket office at 1-888-888-KiXX (5499). The KiXX also introduced a Party PaXX for the 2006-07 season, which consists of two seats behind the goal, two hot dogs and two domestic beers (must present valid ID upon redemption) for $44. Single-game tickets are available through the KiXX and the Wachovia Center Box Office, as well as online at www.comcasttix.com, beginning October 3.

As per a League announcement released on Friday, September 22, the MISL Commissioner Steve Ryan and the League's Management Committee has granted the St. Louis Steamers an inactive status for the 2006-07 season, while continuing to actively search for potential investor/operators to return the club for the 2007-08 campaign.
