The Lehigh Valley Outlawz are proud to announce that Mike Ramos, of Boyertown, PA and formerly with the Norfolk Nighthawks of Arena Football League, has been named the GLIFL Defensive Player of the Week after recording 4 sacks and one fumble recovery in the May 13 game vs. the NY Revolution. A game where the Outlawz (3-2) won 38-18 and moved into third place after 5 weeks.
Another local product with a great game was K Chris Reed of Muhlenberg. Chris, a grad of Muhlenberg High, then Muhlenberg College spent last season in the NIFL playing indoors with Sioux City. His return home has proven to be an asset for the Outlawz as he leads GLIFL kickers in almost very category, capped off with a four FG night this week..
The Outlawz remain at home with a May 27 Game vs. the Battle Creek Crunch, coming to the Stabler Arena at Lehigh University, all the way from Michigan. This game also features a pregame contest pitting the Bethlehem Police vs. the PA State Police. There will also be a fundraiser taking place for the American Cancer Society where all "pink" items sold will benefit the local chapter with Owner Jim DePaul presenting a check for all proceeds at out June 3 game. Come out an support the Outlawz and our causes, tickets are only $8.50
