Erie Freeze News Release

In the late 1970's and early 1980's, the then-president of the Remington Shaver company used to promote his advertising with the signature closing phrase, "I liked it so much, I bought the company."

Rest assured football fans in the Erie, Pennsylvania area, David Hodas and Brian Fisher like football and the LOVE what they've seen so far with the Atlantic Indoor Football League's first place team, the Erie Freeze. So great is their passion, they bought the team.

On Thursday, April 28, the Erie Freeze called a press conference to formally introduce the pair to Erie's media and community leaders.

Hodas, 24, is a real estate investor from Summit Township while Fisher, 34, resides in Millcreek Township where he heads Royal Carpet cleaning service.

The switch to local ownership is part of the Atlantic Indoor Football League's philosophy of solidifying teams with local roots in their respective communities. Hodas and Fisher fit that mold and look to be a proactive force in Erie's football endeavors.

Freeze Head Coach and General Manager Mike Esposito remarked, "I haven't met too many owners at any level of sports that are as enthusiastic as this pair of young gentlemen. I think that Freeze supporters will see that fact as the season continues."

The Freeze travel to Canton to take on the Legends on Saturday, April 30 at 7 PM. The first place Freeze return home on May 14 to take on the Johnstown Riverhawks. Fans can purchase tickets by logging on to: http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/180226.
