
Ledo's 34 Points Helps the Bighorns Hold off the Warriors

RENO, Nev. - The Reno Bighorns defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors 102-91 Sunday night at the Reno Events Center. The Bighorns victory over Warriors moved them into a tying position for the first place rank in the Western Conference.
Ricky Ledo paced the Bighorns with 34 points and six rebounds as Vince Hunter logged his 18 double-double in 28 contests with 24 points, 16 rebounds and two assists. Chad Toppert scored his season-high during with 20 points and two rebounds.
Ledo led the Bighorns in the first quarter, going 5-6 from the field and scoring 13 points. Stockton notched seven points and four rebounds in the first quarter as Chad Toppert and Hunter scored six points each. The Bighorns shot 68 percent from the field in the first quarter compared to the Warriors shooting 40 percent from the field.
During the second quarter, Ledo scored 15 points while Hunter had six points and three rebounds. Stockton tallied four rebounds and four assists in the second.
The Bighorns led the Warriors 58-45 at the half. The Bighorns shot 55 percent from the field compared to the Warriors shooting 38 percent from the field during the first half. Ledo went 10-14 from the field in the first half.
Hunter notched eight points and seven rebounds in the third as Ledo scored five points. Stockton had four points in the quarter.
In the final quarter, Toppert went 3-4 from the field and counted eight points while Stockton had six points. Hunter totaled four points and two rebounds in the fourth.
The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center Friday, Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. to host the Santa Cruz Warriors.
