Knights Lock Up Linemen: Re-Sign Brower; Sign Edwards

November 16, 2009 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA)
Ogden Knights News Release

The Ogden Knights Professional Indoor Football team announced the re-signing of OL Travis Brower and signed newcomer DL Charles Edwards to the 2010 roster.

Travis Brower was one of the staples that held the line together for the Knights during the 2008 campaign. With his and the rest of the offensive lines hard work, the Knights ranked sixth in the league in sacks allowed with 24.

Having him return to anchor the offensive line brings great experience back to protecting the quarterback and opening holes for the running backs.

Charles Edwards will join Brower in the trenches, but on the defensive side of the ball. Although only playing in seven games during his senior year at North Carolina Central, Edwards managed 9.0 total tackles and one tackle-for-loss.

Edwards sits at 6'3, 290 lbs and boasts a 4.79 40-yard dash that will help him get off the ball with great speed and agility for his size. Speed isn't everything in the indoor game, but match that with his weight and size, disrupting the backfield may happen more often than previously expected.
