PORTLAND, Maine - Kelsey Barlow had a career-high 32 points and the Grand Rapids Drive had four players score 20 or more points on Sunday afternoon. But it still wasn't enough to get a win.

Grand Rapids lost 129-123 to the Maine Red Claws in front of 2,171 fans at the Portland Expo Building. The Drive (18-24) lost its fifth-straight game and eighth of its last nine.

Barlow, a 6-foot-5 guard who played at Purdue and Illinois-Chicago, was 13-of-25 from the field. His field goals are one shy of the team record for makes and the 25 attempts are the most by a Drive player this season. He scored 30 in a game earlier this season.

Lorenzo Brown had his fifth double-double of the season. The 6-foot-5 guard out of North Carolina State, had 24 points, tied his season high with 12 assists and had seven rebounds. He has scored 20 or more in five-straight games.

Henry Sims continued his hot streak. The 6-foot-10 center out of Georgetown had his 17th double-double of the season with a season-high 28 points and 15 rebounds. He has had a double-double in seven-straight games. Devin Ebanks added 25 points for the Drive.

In the fourth quarter, Ebanks had a nice feed to Brown in the paint for a thunderous dunk, where Brown hung on the rim for a second to enjoy the moment. It tied the game at 100-100.

Barlow was called for a technical foul with 20 seconds to go in the third quarter. Malcom Miller would make both free throws to give Maine a 93-92 lead, its first lead since early in the game.

The Drive had a very strong first half. They went on a 15-8 run to finish the second quarter and led 69-59 at halftime. Barlow had 20 points at the break. The 69 points are the second most in a half this season. Grand Rapids had 73 points in a half at the Raptors 905 on Dec. 5.

Maine (28-15), which qualified for the playoffs with the win, was led by by Jordan Mickey with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Mickey played against the Drive for the first time this season. He was assigned by the Boston Celtics to Maine just before Sunday's game.

"They came out and played hard against us in the first half," Mickey said. "We had to come out with a sense of urgency and come after them in the second half.

Grand Rapids returns home for the first time in 13 days when it hosts the Westchester Knicks on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. start at the DeltaPlex Arena.
