Ghostriders, Bubba Wilson to Raise Funds for American Diabetes Association

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Osceola Ghostriders will wrap up their 2007 season Saturday night as they team up with Bubba Wilson from Real Radio 104.1 to help raise money for the American Diabetes Association (ADA). Kickoff is 7 p.m.

The Ghostriders (5-8) will try to avoid a season sweep by the regular season champion Columbus Lions (10-3) as the World Indoor Football League concludes its inaugural regular season.

Wilson will be at the ADA's booth in the Silver Spurs Arena signing autograph and overseeing a silent auction for Ghostrider jerseys and memorabilia beginning at 6 p.m. He'll also make an appearance on the game's audiocast on www.wifl.ezstream.com

Insurance Officers of America (IOA) is sponsoring Saturday's game and presented a FREE cheer cone to the first 1,000 fans. Those with ticket stubs from the Ghostriders' May 6 game can bring them to the box office for a free ticket Saturday.

Osceola will face the Augusta Spartans (8-6) on June 23 for the right to face the Lions in the inaugural World Indoor Bowl June 30 in Columbus, Ga.

Quarterback Rob Harding has a chance to urpass Augusta's Mike Rathe for the league passing yards and total yards titles, needing 253 passing yards and 262 yards of total offense against the Lions do so. Running back Terrance Bunting is within striking distance of Columbus' Eugene Goodman for the rushing yaradge and touchdown leads, but needs to outgain Goodman by 73 yards and score at least a league-record five more touchdowns to do so.
