FC Dallas Acquires Fourth Round Selection in 2007 from Real Salt Lake in exchange for Defender Brian

Dallas, Tex. – FC Dallas President and General Manager Greg Elliott announced today that the Major League Soccer club has acquired a fourth round selection in 2007 from Real Salt Lake in exchange for the rights to defender Brian Dunseth.

Dunseth, 27, played for Bodenf SK in Sweden last season after playing the previous seven seasons in Major League Soccer. The Upland, CA native who played his college soccer at Cal-State Fullerton, appeared in MLS with the New England Revolution (1997-2001), the Miami Fusion (2001), the Columbus Crew (2002-2003) and the Dallas Burn (2003). In nine matches with the Burn, Dunseth recorded one goal and one assist for three points. Over his MLS career, he has appeared in 147 matches and has tallied 12 points

(3-6=12).

FC Dallas, a charter member club of Major League Soccer, will begin play in the new 21,193 seat soccer stadium in the spring of 2005. The 117-acre facility will be located at the intersection of Main Street and Dallas North Tollway in Frisco. The Frisco Soccer & Entertainment Center will accommodate Major League Soccer matches, major concerts, international soccer matches and High School football. Adjacent to the stadium will be 17 regulation size, tournament-grade soccer fields which will be utilized on a year-round basis. Join us as we celebrate Major League Soccer’s 10th season.
