Bloomington, IL. - The Bloomington Edge is proud to announce the start of a promotional partnership with the Miller Park Zoo. The Edge is a community first organization, and knows just how big of an asset the Zoo is to the city of Bloomington. This partnership will benefit both organizations for future events.
On October 28th and 29th, the Zoo is holding their first ever Spooktacular Day and Night event. The two-day event will be on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday noon to 3 p.m. It is highly encouraged for children to dress up in their costumes. Guests can enjoy crafts, up close animal encounters, and of course, candy. The Edge and our mascot Spike will also be attending this year's Spooktacular event. Further details for the two days are explained on the Zoo's website programs and events tab and their Facebook page.
Future events with the Zoo will be held in December as part of their Christmas season. Some of their events in December include: Christmas concert, Candy Cane Hunt, Tour de Lights and an Ugly Sweater Run. The Edge hopes to attend the December events along with our mascot Spike. During the 2018 season, there will be a zoo night theme for one of our games. Details on that specific game will be explained in the future.
