GRAND RAPIDS, MICH - (Dec 5, 2017) - The Grand Rapids Drive, the NBA D-League Affiliate of the Detroit Pistons announced today that the team has reacquired Bruce Massey from the available player pool.
Massey, the 6-foot-3, 195-pound guard from Middle Tennessee State was traded to the Erie BayHawks from the Grand Rapids Drive in December, 2016 for the returning player rights of Nnanna Egwu. After appearing in two games, with the BayHawks, Massey averaged 5 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist in 14.7 min per game he was later waived. Massey was acquired to replace Ray McCallum as a point guard on the Drive's roster after McCallum received a GATORADE call-up by the Charlotte Hornets last week.
While with the Drive, Massey will wear jersey number 17.
