Drive Partner with GRCC for Takeover Night and Spirit Week

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH- The Grand Rapids Drive, the NBA D-League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons and Grand Rapids Community College partnered last week to help promote GRCC's first ever Spirit Week (Feb. 20-25) and GRCC Takeover Night at the Drive vs. Vipers game on Saturday, February 25th.

Saturday's game, which had over 4,000 fans in attendance, helped GRCC showcase its position as the premier open access college that prepares individuals to attain their goals and contribute to the community. GRCC received a significant level of exposure during the game through custom-branded jerseys, in-arena signage, public address announcements, and being the beneficiary of the Drive's 50/50 Ball Toss.

Game-worn GRCC branded home jerseys were auctioned off throughout the game and raised over $1,000 for charity. "We're honored to partner with Grand Rapids Community College to help them engage their student body and the Drive fan base in a positive way," said Drive President Wes Weir. "I'm extremely proud of this partnership and look forward to building off of this year's success."

The Drive also partnered with GRCC to help enhance their first Spirit Week during the week of Feb. 20th.
