Drive Add Terrence Jennings to 2016-17 Roster

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH -The Grand Rapids Drive, the NBA D-League Affiliate of the Detroit Pistons announced today that the team has acquired Terrence Jennings from the available player pool.

Jennings, a 6-foot-11, 230-pound forward-center out of University of Louisville (2008-2011) averaged 6.36 points, 1.60 blocks, and 3.82 rebounds in 99 games played (34 starts) in 16.3 minutes per game. After going undrafted in the 2011 NBA Draft, Jennings played overseas in the Belgium-Scooore League (BSL) for the Liege Basket Team (2011-2012) averaging 8.66 points, 1.47 blocks, and 5.12 rebounds in 32 games (15 starts). Jennings returned to the US selected ninth (9th) pick in the second (2nd) round of the 2012 NBA D-League Draft by the Iowa Energy. In 33 games with Iowa, he averaged 4.67 points and 3 rebounds. He was later acquired by the Erie BayHawks in 2013 where he remained for most of his career before being placed on waivers in 2016. During the 2013-14 season, Jennings averaged, 9.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists in 45 games played (14 starts) with the BayHawks.

During his career, Jennings appeared in two (2) NBA summer leagues, first in Orlando with the Philadelphia 76ers (2012-13) averaging 2.80 points, 2.60 rebounds, and 1.20 blocks in 5 games and second in Las Vegas with New York Knicks (2013-14) averaging 10 points, 6.60 rebounds, and 1 block in 5 games.

Jennings will wear jersey number 34 while with the team.
