GRAND RAPIDS, MICH - The Grand Rapids Drive, the NBA Affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, announced today that the team has acquired Ralston Turner off waivers.
Turner (9/22/91), a 6-foot-5, 205-pound guard from North Carolina State University earned team awards for 3-point shooting and free throw shooting, averaged 11.7 points and 2.9 rebounds in 72 games at NC State making 171 3-pointers in just two years, ranking him ninth (9th) in Wolfpack history. Turner appeared in two (2) games with the Charlotte Hornets during their 2015 NBA Summer League in Orlando, Florida.
Turner will wear jersey number 24 while with the Drive.
The Drive (12-12) return home from their two (2) game road trip on Wednesday, Feb. 3 when they take on the Austin Spurs (18-9) for a 7 pm tipoff. Wednesday's contest will feature $1 Beers and will be a Jersey Takeover Night by Chemical Bank benefitting the Grand Rapids Urban League.
